Notebooks is Great

This is still a 5 star app. I continue to put almost everything in it and use it on my Mac, iPhone 6 Plus and iPad Pro. Couldnt be happier. I have Notebooks on my Mac, iPhone and iPad Pro with everything connected via Dropbox. Its enabled me to move everything from Evernote, OneNote and many document folders. I opted for Dropbox Pro and have a pretty gigantic system. Everything works well and I havent had any issues with syncs across all of my devices. Im very happy I made the move to Notebooks.

My Everyday Note System

If you need more structure than Apple Notes and dont trust or want to deal with the bloat of Evernote, then Notebooks app could be the choice for you. I save webpages as searchable HTML files. I save and search within my important PDF files. I use Notebooks apps DropBox integration for searchable plain text notes and to organize my MS Office files in iOS. If you want to be productive on an iOS device consider Notebooks App.

Student lawyer

I have used this app for grad school and client notes for five years. It is very functional, and I love the new PDF marker/reader. It would be better if it would sync with notebooks on my iPhone but neither I nor any of Apples geniuses have been able to get that to work.

Not “best in class” in each area of functionality, but gets job done

Limited in different areas (e.g. no Search & Replace in editor), but I appreciate the package. I would rate it 4 stars but I really love how it creates e-books (EPUB): you can use your own style sheets and easily switch between them, it automatically creates the Table of Contents, it can generate one e-book for a Chapter, or just as easily the whole book. I like using e-books when I give presentations and the combination of features works well for me. It’s not perfect, but in combination with other tools, I find it very useful.

Like OS X Finder

It can operate on virtually any iOS file type by any means that is available on your device (decompress, pass them on to other apps or file sharing services, ...). And, you can place these files anyplace in folders in a tree-like organization system, such as you find in the OS X Finder. Then, if you sync this file tree with, say, iCloud Drive or DropBox, you can then access these files in the actual OS X Finder, organized as this file tree (and giving you an automatic backup at the same time). I really cant think of another function that one would need, once you have Notebooks. I especially like being able to change a font size just by pinching in the content of a file, allowing you to QUICKLY expand the file text to make it just the right size for reading, just to mention ONE feature.

Great app!

This is a great app for storing and organizing notes, documents, etc. For me, its a real workhorse, and I use it to store computer information, trip journals, medical records, lists, reference information -- almost anything that I want to find quickly and dont want to lose. It syncs with Dropbox, so I can access my information from my iPhone, iPad, or any computer, and it gives me automatic backups.

Versatile, comprehensive, easy to use

Its my go-to app for organizing and storing docs of any kind. Syncs with Dropbox and searchable by keyword. Id be lost without it.

What I needed and more

I was merely looking for an app which would allow me to take plain text notes, save web archives, and allow me to import document scans. The to-do and reminders features was a wonderful surprise. Adding a to do is so easy that I find myself creating to-dos more often than I thought. I had also been looking for a good markdown word processor and a good voice recorder for my iPad. I found both of these things in this app. It manages to be full featured while remaining simple and easy to use. Paying $10 for this app was well worth it.

Use it everyday

This is really my go to app for all things written. Ive been using it since 2009. I use it with Dropbox and all my devices - iPhone, iPod, desktop - are always up to date with each other. Its like the best app ever.

Expensive but invaluable, best app ever, period.

After searching through (and test driving) nearly every notebook App I could, Im so pleased to finally find this one. It is exactly what I want. Why? It allows the user to create notebook within notebooks, which is so intuitive and logical, but also move the notebook into a different one--because we are only human. I wear many hats, travel a lot, have a lot of interests--so being able to create notebooks (and edit) within notebooks is crucial. Massive thank you. Charles ableconsultantatgmailcom

Great app!

This app is one I use daily. I eliminated all of the scraps of paper and questions to myself about "Where did I file that thing?" when I started using Notebooks. I can search through all of my notes, and quickly find what I want. Notes are not limited to short post-its, either. It appears that they can be quite long, add I have created some rather long documents het, too. I can also store other documents (for example, Word, Excel, and PDFs), so I can keep them together with my notes. How cool is that? I can format the text for readability, nest notebooks within notebooks, and sync everything between iPhone, iPad, and laptop. Therefore, I can always access the data, from anywhere, and not worry about losing stuff if my phone dies. I highly recommend this app!
